A Glimpse of the Doors of the Prophet's Mosque
When someone is on a pilgrimage to the Nabawi mosque, of course he will be amazed by the beauty of the door of the Nabawi mosque which is in the old building at the front. The congregation certainly knows, the door of the Nabawi mosque in the old building has a distinctive pattern and architecture with the history of Muslims in the past. Inside the Nabawi Mosque there are many doors, both those that have existed for hundreds of years or those that were newly built during the Saudi Arabian kingdom.

Quoted from Fiqh of Worship According to the Syafii School of Thought by Sayyid Muhammad Amin, the following are the names and history of the doors of the Prophet's Mosque:
Jibril Gate
It is called Jibril's door or Bab Jibril because the Angel Jibril came down with revelation to the Prophet Muhammad SAW through this door. Like during the Khandaq war, where the Angel Jibril immediately met the Prophet Muhammad SAW who had just entered his house and removed his armor. The Angel Jibril ordered the Prophet Muhammad SAW to immediately surround the Banu Qurayzah who had betrayed the Muslims.
An-nisa Gate
It was named Babun Nisa because the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had designated this door as the entrance for women when entering the Prophet's Mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "If we leave this door (then this door is special) for women." (Narrated by Abu Dawud) After hearing this hadith, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar never entered the Prophet's Mosque through Babun Nisa until he died.
Baqi' Gate
Babul Baqi' is a door used to carry bodies that have been prayed for in the mosque to be buried in the Baqi' cemetery.
Salam Gate
Babus Salam is a door built during the reign of Caliph Marwan ibn Abdul Malik, after the era of the Rashidun Caliphs. This door is also known as Bab Marwan and Bab Khosyah.
Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Gate
It's so named because it's located at the back door of Abu Bakr As-Shiddiq's house (Khoukhoh). Once upon a time, some of his companions had back doors leading to the Prophet's Mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ordered all the doors closed except the back door of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr's house (RA).
Rahmah Gate
It was named Babur Rahmah because a man entered the door and asked the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to pray for rain. The story is quite famous, after which the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) performed Istisqa.
Umar bin Khattab Gate
It is so named because the door is located in the direction of the house of Sayyiduna Umar ibn Khattab. When Sayyiduna Umar sold the house to pay off his debt, the door was named Darul Qadho (debt repayment), but it was later renamed Bab Umar ibn Khattab.
